Exploring Clay modeling and character design offers a unique blend of creativity, storytelling, and hands-on artistry, making them a fantastic way to explore both imagination and skill development. Students not only get to bring their original characters to life in 3D form, but also gain valuable experience in problem-solving, attention to detail, and spatial awareness. These lessons promote self-expression and help students develop fine motor skills as they work with different textures and forms. Additionally, creating a tangible character from their own narrative enhances their storytelling ability, deepens their engagement with art, and boosts their confidence. The process of painting and showcasing their creations adds a sense of accomplishment, making these lessons both fun and highly rewarding.

This 6 lesson plan engages students in creative character development, storytelling and modelling, culminating in a physical representation of their characters and an engaging film style presentation. At the end of the 6 weeks you are invited at the end of the lesson to come and see what they have created in the form a presentation by the students.
